Who runs this site and how it works
Do the cruises on this site belong to one company?
No, and it helps to be clear about that. This site compares cruises; it does not operate them. No boat, crew, ticket desk or payment system belongs to it. What it does is line up the eight bookable Danube cruises out of Budapest, dinner boats and drinks cruises included, and link to each live listing where the booking itself happens. Every description sticks to what the listing publishes.
Does using the site cost anything?
Nothing. Reading, comparing and clicking through are free, and there is no account to create. The site earns a commission when a booking is completed after a click-through: the platform that sells the cruise shares part of the commission it already receives from the operator. That share comes out of the platform's existing margin, so the price you pay matches the price on the live listing you would reach anyway. The disclosure page explains the arrangement in full.
Where does the booking itself happen?
On the live listing, not here. Clicking a card opens the operator's own page on the platform selling that cruise, and from that point the process is the standard one: pick a date and a ticket option, pay on the platform, and receive a voucher by email with the departure details. Nothing is processed on this site. No payment is taken here, and no passenger details pass through it.
Prices and ratings
Why do some prices say "from"?
Because a cruise is priced by date, option and group size, and one flat number would be misleading. Four of the eight cruises here publish a from-price, currently between $22 and $58 per person (checked September 2026); the other four show their figure only on the live booking page. Treat the from-price as the comparison floor. The exact amount for your date and option appears at checkout on the listing.
Where do the star ratings come from?
From the booking platforms themselves, which publish them alongside each listing. Among the cruises here that carry a star rating, the figures sit at 4.6 and 4.7, with review counts ranging from a few hundred to tens of thousands. Nothing is averaged, weighted or adjusted on this site; the numbers appear exactly as the listing publishes them.
What if I have to cancel my booking?
Each operator sets its own terms, and the cancellation window differs from listing to listing. The one that applies to your cruise is shown on the booking page and again at checkout, so read it before paying rather than after.

Should I pick a daytime or an evening departure?
Whenever suits you, because the season never closes. Danube sightseeing cruises in Budapest run year-round, and the boats carry heated indoor cabins for winter departures, so cold weather rarely stops them. The real choice is light or dark. Daytime departures, often running hourly through the afternoon, show the riverfront landmarks in natural light, while evening and night departures are timed for the illuminated Parliament, Buda Castle and the bridges (see Budapest Night River Cruise Guide: Evening, Sunset & Night Departures Compared). Pick the mood you want; the riverfront delivers both.
Which dock does my cruise leave from?
From a handful of docks along the Danube. Several operators board from numbered docks on Jane Haining rakpart on the Pest embankment; others use Vigadó tér on the Pest side or Batthyány tér on the Buda side. Which one applies to you depends on the operator, and the exact dock appears on your confirmation voucher, so check it before setting out.
Who do I contact about an existing booking?
The confirmation email, every time. It carries your booking reference, the departure details and a message channel that reaches both the operator and the platform that took the payment. This site has no access to bookings, so it cannot shift a date, add a traveller or arrange a refund.
